Boss: I had to rest Ron
Sir Alex had no choice but to leave out Cristiano Ronaldo and Nemanja Vidic for the Reds' trip to Bolton on Saturday. The pair now face a race against time to be fit for Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon.Fans were puzzled Portuguese winger Ronaldo was nowhere to be seen at the Reebok Stadium, whle Nemanja Vidic also missed the match through injury.“Ronaldo had a little strain on the inside of his thigh and Nemanja [Vidic] missed Serbia's game on Wednesday while on international duty,” United boss Sir Alex Ferguson told MUTV. “We’ll see what they are like for Tuesday but they were not fit for Saturday.”Even without Ronaldo, Vidic and other stars like Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes, Sir Alex believed United still had a good enough squad to beat Bolton.“I think we had enough players to win that game, there's no question about that,” he said. “But Bolton did make a lot of chances and they worked really hard for their victory. You cannot deny them that.“We didn't make enough chances to say we deserved to win the game. If we had scored we would probably have won it but we needed to score.”While obviously disappointed with the result, Ferguson urged his players to bounce back immediately.“We have to react to losing the game. It’s in the history and nature of our club and we have the right set of players to do that.”source: manutd.comi hope hes back soon! no wonder he wasn't at the game, with a thigh strain you have to rest.i don't think it's bad though as didn't he go out after the Portugal game where hes ment to have got it from? he should be fit for Tuesday or deffo next weekend

Ronaldo Wants England To Qualify
Ronaldo Want England To Qualify
2007-11-17
Cristiano Ronaldo insists he was England to qualify for next summer's European Championships.
England have gone out to Portugal on penalties in the last two major tournaments, and Ronaldo himself was the 'enemy number one' for The Three Lions in the second of them.
The winger got Manchester United team-mate Wayne Rooney sent off, following which he was jeered all over England for the next six months.
However, the Portuguese insists he wants England to qualify, and wants to face them again.
"I want England to qualify for Euro 2008," he said.
"I want England and Portugal to be there because it would be for the good of the game and every fan wants the big teams at major tournaments.
"But most of all, I would want to play England again because it would be sensational after the spectacle at the last World Cup.
"The story with Rooney in the World Cup is forgotten.
"We are good friends, but I insist that I would never change my attitude.
"I would always do anything for Portugal when I play a game for my country."

Ronaldo Seeking More Individual Awards
2007-10-31
Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo regards winning individual awards as important as winning honours with his team.
Portuguese midfield star Cristiano Ronaldo is targeting more personal accolades this season. The Manchester United winger won the Professional Footballers Association Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year awards last season, as well as the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year award. And he is one of the nominees for this year’s World Player of the Year accolade. Ronaldo, 22, told The Sun: "Of course I want to win more trophies and individual awards — for me, that is very important. "I try to improve every year and I’m not the same player I was three years ago. I think I’m a better player now, more mature. "I understand the game more, I'm more consistent and my team-mates have helped me a lot. "I like to watch myself on video after the game to see what I do well and what I do badly — and this is making me a stronger and better player." Ronaldo's goals were a key factor in United's Premier League title triumph last season. Speaking at the launch of Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 game, Ronaldo said: "I just want to score more goals than last year. It’s always important to score as it’s good for your confidence and good for the team. "But it’s important as well to be part of the team, to help the side with assists and good passes and that is what I try to do every game." Ronaldo said he expects Chelsea to challenge for the title, although he admitted that compatriot Jose Mourinho's departure surprised him. "Mourinho is a great coach, a great manager and a good man and I think the English people like him because his style is different, his personality is different," said the United star. "The Premier League has changed a little bit without him but Chelsea will be OK, they’re playing well." As far as the managerial succession at Old Trafford is concerned, Ronaldo said: "Alex Ferguson is the face of Manchester United. He’s done a fantastic job — he’s been in charge 21 years and he's a great man who everyone respects. "He’s a great, warm-hearted person. Nobody knows what the future holds but I hope the boss stays at Manchester United for many years."

Interview
Practico mucho y he intentado encontrar un estilo propio.
